Atlanta rapper Archie Eversole, best known for his hit 2002 "We Ready," has been killed at the hds of his brother.
A beloved figure in the city, whose record has become a staple at Georgia sporting events, was found suffering from a gunshot wound on March 25th at a Chevron gas station on Snapfinger Woods Drive. His brother, Alexander Kraus, was located at a home on the 4500 block of Golf Vista Circle, which is believed to be the location of the shooting. Sadly, Eversole succumbed to his injuries on April 3rd. Kraus, who was originally facing aggravated assault charges, has now had his charges upgraded to murder.
Eversole's single had gained so much traction that the soccer club, Atlanta United, adopted the song as their pre-match anthem and released a statement following Eversole's death.
"His voice will long live in our supporters' minds as 'We Ready' billows through the speakers for kick-off at Atlanta United matches."
Let's keep his family, friends, and fans in our thoughts and prayers.
