1017 star Foogiano has been arrested after burning off his ankle monitor and evading law enforcement since December.
The Gucci Mane protege made the news at the end of 2020 after his discarded ankle monitor was located on a Georgia highway. The device had visible burns on the strap and was found to belong to the rapper, whose real name is Kwame Brown.
Authorities had been unsuccessful in locating the "Molly" star until Thursday when he was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee. Foogiano was booked into the Shelby County Jail and charged with being a fugitive from justice without a warrant. The ankle monitor was originally placed upon his release from jail on December 14th, where he'd been held for eight days for being a felon in possession of a firearm. On the day of his release, law enforcement received notice that the ankle monitor had been tampered with before it was located.
Foogiano's team has not commented publicly on the arrest.
