After years of tension between Aaliyah's estate and her uncle Barry Hankerson, fans will finally be able to enjoy the late singer's music on streaming platforms.
The battle over the release of her music came to an end in recent days when Hankerson, who owns his niece's masters, confirmed her music was on the way.
On August 20th, Aaliyah's debut album "One in a Million" will be available on the platforms. Her self-titled project will follow on September 10th. Her final project recorded before her untimely passing, "I Care 4 U," will be free to stream on October 8th.
While Aaliyah's estate feels that the music is being released "without any transparency or full accounting," her fans are rejoicing at the opportunity to celebrate the beloved vocalist.
